Mona Khademi, Director of International Arts Management, has significant experience in arts management both with artists and arts organizations. She has extensive experience in the museum environment as well as cultural organizations.
She has proven record of management skills, public relations, finding sponsors and securing venues for programs and performances for international artists in Washington, DC. She has developed successful cultural programs at different museums and different arts organizations. She has curated, developed and coordinated several international exhibitions at different embassies in Washington DC for international artists. She has organized an exhibition for 24 women artists in Washington in conjunction with an international women’s conference.
Finding partnership between artists and arts organizations is one of her skills. She has developed festivals and performances for several major artists and art organizations such as dancers, pianists, opera singers, musicians and ensembles.
Ms. Khademi gained experience working at Meridian International Center and Corcoran Gallery of Art. She has organized several international festivals and conferences in United States and Europe and has attended many cultural programs globally. She has been responsible for promotion of artists as well as art and cultural programs.
Mona Khademi has a Master’s Degree in Arts Management from American University in Washington, DC and has studied exhibition design and museums studies at George Washington University. In Europe, she has studied in the cultural policies of several countries through a graduate program at New York University. Several of her articles have been published in books and professional journals on the topic of about international cultural programming.
Ms. Khademi She has been the recipient of Fellowship Award in Arts Management from Opera Music Theater International (OMTI) in 1999. She is a member of the American Association of Museums and the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington.
